Cut the rope into very thin disks with a sharp knife of cigar cutter and mix thoroughly.

This is a hybrid blend that is delicious. That's a lot of Perique so before making up a large batch make up enough for a couple of bowls first to see if you like it. I pull apart the curlies and add the Perique and then press it overnight in a ziplock bag under a pile of books.
